ice machine wont harvest
Hi , I am working on a scotsman mv1000, and the unit doesnt drop the ice on harvest cycle within the time limit of 210 seconds, I have cleaned unit, tilted unit slightly forward, made larger cubes of ice, it makes ice fine and the pressures are pretty good , R404a @50psi and 20psi on ice production and 90psi on harvest. Are there anything else I can check

That looks like a UK model which I’m not familiar with. We’ll need a little more info.
Water cooled or air?
Ambient temp?
Water inlet temp?
Pressures at the start and end of the freeze cycle and harvest cycle?
Freeze cycle time?
-
water cooled
25 c ambient
I would say 16 degrees water inlet temp
hp starts at 290 and gets to 250 , a bit high
suction 20 psi at end
harvest 90 and 170
about 20 minutes

How old is this machine ?
Have you looked over the evaporator plate for loose segments ( i.e. horizontal bars ) ?

How does the evaporator plate look? Shiny and smooth?

10 to 12 years, and yes some of the nickle plate has worn.

Assuming the ice grid is producing uniform ice and the plates aren't loose it is likely that the nickle has worn to the point of being "sticky". One trick you can do is get a small brush and scrub down each plate with ice machine cleaner. If you have proper water pressure and gas pressure then that could be the issue. Older machines like old people need more extensive service.
