Allow me to start by stating that I am a new member here, despite referencing this site many times in the past to help me with work, so if I've posted in the wrong area, I apologize. Let me know and I'll move the post accordingly.
I've been having a couple of issues for about a week with some large package McQuay RTUs where I get an alarm from the Microtech controller indicating a "heating board enable fail." It's my understanding that this alarm is active when a binary output from my Main Control Board (MCB) is going out to the Electric Heating Board (EHB) but the binary input on that EHB isn't being detected, indicating an issue in the wiring between the two boards.
Now I haven't spent too much time poking around yet, but this has happened a few times now on two separate units, and resetting the alarm remedies the issue. The alarms have populated at varying times in the day, and this is the first I've experienced them in the 3 1/2 years I've been here. I'm not asking for any DIY or anything like that, I'm just curious to see if anyone has any input on this. Anybody experienced this before? Perhaps have an explanation for why it may have started so abruptly when it started to get cold out?
