    York ylaa

I have a ylaa pin 20 in model number is h designating high ambient. So this machine isn’t low ambient and can only run down to 24 degrees ambient? Can a low ambient kit be field added? What is included/involved in low ambient kit? Thanks!

here is what i found...i may have missed something...you never know.

you have the 6 condenser fan unit. the low ambient vfd is only used for units that have 4 fans...a condenser fan VFD is installed for those units. it is run off of the discharge pressure transducer.

you would need the piping and solenoid (YESV) and wiring harness for the Low Ambient drain. You will also need the TXV Heaters, wiring and fuse block (unless you already have the EEV option) and louvered condenser panels.

i have never had to retrofit a unit so i am unsure if a retrofit kit is available (i don't think it is...everything i see says "FACTORY"), but you could certainly buy the individual components and field retrofit it yourself.

Thanks for your help. Customer thinks they have a low ambient chiller but they certainly do not. Haha.
