    Chili's on in Chi-town

Snow is falling. I gave up waiting for my buddy to kill a deer so it'e beef instead of venison. I'm 3 hours in and probably 2 more left to finish cooking down the liquid.

What kind of ground is that, 80%?
Looks tasty. I go out of my way for good chili.

Not ground. They call it taco meat at the Mexican grocer. I'm guessing it's probably flank steak, possibly skirt steak that is diced. I cook it enough to draw the fat out and then drain it. I normally do it with venison. This will be the first time with the taco meat.

but the bacon grease is what I'm using

All the spices and a couple ingredients have been left out of the picture on purpose. Wouldn't want someone else to profit off my pleasure...

Only edible way to eat brussel sprouts. Cooked in bacon grease covered in crispy bacon. Im a fan of the cheap Kirkland bacon from Costco $13 for 4lbs

Why would you ruin bacon with brussel sprouts?

Pig is pig. The bacon I bought for the chili had excessive fat. I normally try to buy bacon that is about 50/50 meat/fat
