    IBC Boilers

Just searched here on "IBC" and not a single hit. I'm replacing a 27 year old Smith boiler in Vermont and both installers are trying to sell me a boiler from IBC a Canadian company, they swear by them and it's damn cold in Vermont. Anyone here have experience with them?

Concern yourself more with the installing contractor then the name on the box. They make or break a install!

For low to medium water temp applications we use IBC exclusively. Depending on the model they are easy to install and trouble free when maintained properly (like all boilers require).

What is the application (do you have baseboard or radiators or radiant heating)? What model are they recommending?
Use the biggest hammer you like, pounding a square peg into a round hole does not equal a proper fit.

Good to hear. The house has baseboards, 2400sqft log house built in 1972, older windows. HC33-160 model boiler. Do you usually use these for baseboards?
