Yes , it has been updated. The current limit is a tan plastic square device. The relays are newer but the basic layout is the original.
Right now if you hit the start switch the oil pump will start but a signal is never sent to the starter. With out the wiring diagram it’s hard to tell if is the panel or an external interlock that is holding it out.

I will have to do some digging but its pretty simple . If all the safety’s are satisfied it sends a signal out to the starter on I think ??????? Terminal 7 its been a while (eons) since I worked on one of those old panels .
Once the starter pulls in it energizes the pilot solenoid to allow air to the actuator and she will load up .
Do you have good supply air pressure ? Theres a low limit pressure switch in there .

If I recall correctly, the flow interlocks will interrupt that signal. But, like Healey, it's been a while.

Also, if that updated "current limit" (the Load Limit Relay) has the blue pneumatic tubing installed, I recommend replacing that with plenum rated tubing. The blue tubing is subject to hardening and cracking due to the heat from the solenoid valve.

Going from memory the flow switches come back on terminal four then through the oil safeties etc then out on 7 ......but Its been a very long while .....

    That makes more sense. Thanks.

After all, would hate to coast down without lubrication on every loss of flow. Especially since back in those days, chiller remote stop/start was often tied in to flow interlocks....

I shouldn’t say this but, oil pump stays on both pumps are on and I can send the signal to the starter. It comes on line there is a 90 second signal after transition and the chiller will load, responds to the temperature control. After I pull the signal to the starter there is a normal coast down. I think there is a switch on a relay that is not made but without the diagram it’s hard to find, don’t really have the time to draw one up line.

The warden that's what I call my wife.
Funny how you can remember jobs, installs , how the chiller was moved into buildings, where piping goes in a building that you have not been in for years.
People ask if you like your job, if you can remember details like I guess you love your job. Could not think of a better job.
