    Editing threads

    Is there a reason you cannot edit your posts or threads after a certain time period?

    I wanted to update a thread title to reflect the fact that a problem was solved to let the members who helped know, with a quick glance of thread title, that the issue was resolved.

    Why do you not allow editing?

    It's pretty standard on most forums. Probably for historical reasons. You could just add a post that the problem was solved and thank the appropriate people.
    Some forums have question and answer set ups where the OP can mark an answer as correct, and the thread gets marked as answered with the post checked as answered also shown right below the question.
    Uh...Google it yourself!
