    walk in freezer icing issue

hello techs,i came across a walkin freezer @ a restuarant after the manager requested me to take a look at it for possible repair, i found that the side of the evap section is frozen solid to the point that i can see solid ice forming down to the top shelf. It didnt seem like a coil freezup issue, but not sure what could cause that type of freezup. I didnt open any panels, it was a visual look any directions how to tackle this issue would i would apreciate it,will return to fix soon.

thanks for reading my post, what would be the best way to tackle this problem, not to familiar with walkins. If the leak is by txv & no heat is going there in deforst, how can i fix this issue.any comments would be appreciated.

Is drain pan tilted so water goes to that end ?

Does pan have a hole and dripping during defrost ?

Is drain clogged and pan is full of ice ?

Turn clock into defrost and watch where water is coming from

Does the power whip come in at the same side as the txv? That whip goes to the defrost clock which is probably outside of the box. You could be drawing moisture into the box thru that whip.

thanks for reading my post, when i return back to job, I will put unit in deforst & open evap section check all that,This really helps trouble shoot & solve problems for customers God bless ya all. Am pretty sure I will figure it put on my own,but not familiar with walkins or refrigeration it would take me longer. Refrigeration can't wait, thanks again
