    CAS BACnet Wireshark Report Tool

Not to pollute the main troubleshooting thread, taking my test drive comments over here. Tossed a ~5 min capture at it and noticed a few things.

This tool seems to have issues decoding bacnet schedule read/writes. Got a fair number of errors "Could not decode packet as BACnet". Nice thing it gives the offending packet number making it trivial to track back down in WS. Looking at these they all seem to be random schedule related packets. WS decoded them fine, the devices in question are happy with them, so I can only assume its something that's not fully supported in the report tool.

With the above being the case, the decode errors are exactly that. Look at the Global PDU count for "true" errors in the capture.

Avg packet size seems a bit off from what WS reports, but close. Guessing the decode errors likely account for that. Packet size breakdown lines up with WS best I can tell.

This tool also doesn't seem to like MS/TP captures.

All in all I like it. Would be nice to have a CLI option to disable the XML output. Guessing the the speed of the report would be 100x faster if it wasn't churning on creating 12K xml files.

So what is the logTiming.csv that it generates? Looks like time between packets??

    Report attached.

Looking into this storm tool. Might have just the project that could use something like this. MS/TP routers...https://youtu.be/a_z4IuxAqpE?t=14s

    CAS Storm tool

Just a quick test, looks like it depends on some MS dll library installed which I don't have. Tosses about bunch of errors around a wad of missing dlls. msvcp140d.dll, ucrtbased.dll, vcruntime140D.dll. Don't see anything in the manual about anything other than WS being required.

    Project for tomorrow.
