Are you saying I need to stop providing the IT department with examples that might help clarify the problem?

Change your vacuum pump oil now.

They already know the problems. I doubt flooding them with examples is going to speed it up.

Plus, it appears that only your IE/your machine has issues? Im typing away here on an ancient version of Firefox and I have no problems whatsoever.

"Flooding?" Really? Compared to what, a slow-dripping faucet?

My machine is the only one that has issues? This is the first I have heard about it. Do you work in the IT department?

You realize every time you post in here they get an email, right? IT doesnt just pop in here to read the threads.

Im not this site's IT but as I interface with most of the other people on here who have been having problems I can tell you that the others havent had the ongoing issues that you have. They only had it for a short time when the https was changed over. IT identified the problem and fixed it within a short time frame.

The outstanding issues right now appear to be security errors due to linked offsite pictures (normal operation) and a broken Like/Dislike function except for Tapatalk.

No, I didn't know that. Is that information posted somewhere?

Thank you for that useful information! (Last I heard, the IT repair man was out of town.) Will there be more forthcoming? Should I contact you and/or Dad when I have questions? Should I start a thread somewhere where the IT department won't have such ready access?

No, Dad and Robb told me. Specifically, Dad's phone notifies him every time something is posted. It irritates him.

Im sure IT and Dad will post once the majority of issues are resolved. I'll pass along anything I find or hear.

It's a holiday weekend. They won't be doing anything.

There are two parts to our IT.

    1. Robb is the software and community guru

    2. Informa/Penton IT who work on the servers. Now locked down after the crash.

Some of the issues are fixed but the majority are still here... So, Let's watch some football... OK? Thx

I do not believe that we will be able to fully resolve issues that happen in IE. That browser has been deprecated for years for good reason. Everything else is being worked on. Most issues should be resolved after the next Sprint begins tomorrow.

Learned a new trick that seems to solve the formatting/linking/editing problems I've been having:

After opening a window to enter text, click on the A/A icon in the top left corner of the window.

I don't know what the tool is, but it made the glitches go away, for the most part.

(When I hover over it, it says "Switch Editor to Source Mode.")
