Which vintage machine is this? Which control panel? There have been issues with a bad crimp on the backside of the motor temp sensor terminal block which causes intermittent motor temp faults. If it’s AdaptiView, you can set it to ignore the first motor temp sensor fault and trip on the second motor temp fault. Or you could put a resistor on that sensor. Typically, if you have motor cooling issues, like a rag stuck in the machine, all of your sensors are going to read hot.

You still can’t prove anything about that!

How did that get in there? That would not get through the refrigerant pump impeller.

Its a pre refrigerant pump model, the motor cooling line runs from the bottom of the condenser barrel to the motor and feeds off of differential pressure.

My money is on someone didnt cover the ends of the open lines and when you were cleaning the O ring off either the discharge volute or the motor O ring a piece went in the motor cooling line .
Always cover open ends with a rag and tape dont stuff rags down them as they get forgotten
