    normal flares are 30 degrees.
    a mini slit takes a 45 degree.
    who ever did that has no business trying either one and should stick with running flex!!!!
    remember, with electronics; when its brown,its cooking and when its black, its done!!!

    All normal refrigeration flares are SAE - 45 degrees.

    X2. SAE are 45 degrees. AN and JIC flares are 30 degrees. Never heard of or seen a 30 degree flare fitting.

    As mentioned, refrigeration flares are 45 degrees.

    If you put the mythical 30 degree flare onto a 45 degree fitting the nut will self-form the 45 degree angle.
