    Yes and I'm sure he knows that. His fact is it's been switched without a oil change and has had no ill effect.
    Been there done that.

    I think Ill go with industry standards...there’s a reason they make a distinction..but, that just me...

    While a mechanic in the late 90's they told us when converting r12 vehicles to 134 they needed oil changed because it wouldnt carry the oil , blah blah , what a crock , me and co-workers charged up several cars and they were cold as a cucumber , infact my own 93 stang is still rockin

    I always added oil.
