Post Use Social Media to Offer Promotions, Build Sales

One of the main purposes of having a company social media presence in the first place is to drive sales. You can certainly do that, just don't overdo it.

Interesting point. I feel "upgrade type" contractors (Remodeling, kitchen cabinets, flooring, etc.) do very well with social media advertising, but a contracting businesses that rely on "immediate need" services (plumbers, HVAC, appliance repair, etc.) might not get the benefit of getting to their market when they need the service using social media. Is there evidence that shows social media advertising works well for the latter type of contractors? I would be very interested in using it, if that is the case.

Its more of how people are looking up services these days. Everyone and their mom has a facebook (literally) and there are things you can do with pixels on your website, that directly relate to what advertisements a person will see on facebook. There is a lot to it, but just about every service industry benefits greatly from this, even moreso when its tied into other forms of digital marketing, Website, SEO, Etc.

You can get a potential client only if you create an interesting post and it still depends on what they need, but yes social media drive sale.

I think that having social media is important for brand awareness and to help with SEO for you site, but does anyone have experience with direct results for service or install work? I am thinking of experimenting with funnels in FaceBook and just wondering if anyone has any experience/success they may share.

We are experimenting with a 3 part funnel (click, optin, close) but haven't quite finished the build out. Hopefully soon.

I think that having social media is important for brand. I also think that it is very important to choose the right media to promote the company. For example, you don't need instagram if you run a shipping company

I myself have only a website but sometimes I ask customers to recommend me to friends. There is no better advertisement than recommendations

I know that social media is good for building brand awareness. Using certain hashtags can also get the right people to see your posts. For example, #HVAC.
But how can you "target" people using social media? Is it done through boosted posts?

I’ve been an SEO & website development specialist for over 15 years. In fact, It worked so well for my hvac.r clients, I decided to start my own commercial refrigeration business in Dallas, TX. A lot has changed over the past 15 years. To be competitive online in 2020, you’ll need social media, seo, and ppc during slower months of year.

Social media is more effective for customer retention and branding (sales, installation, maintenance). SEO & PPC is best for repair services. The most important and most effective online lead generator is actually your Google maps listing.

Yeah, I think social media is a powerful platform for advertising. There people spend a lot of time, in addition to indicate their gender, age and interests, which allows you to promote your product among the most suitable audience.

Hey, I know I'm a year late on responding to this, but I actually just joined and was scrolling through these forums and saw your post. I've been running ads for dentists, restaurants, clothings brands, etc on facebook/instagram for the last 4 years, and actually am looking to get help HVAC owners, so I'll give you some tips!

    1. Set up your facebook page and make it look nice and professional! Nice Profile picture of your logo, nice header picture or video, About Us page, etc. Basically just follow all the steps that facebook provides for you when setting up a new page. Facebook actually does a pretty good job of helping you along the process, and they'll tell you what else you need to complete the page.

    2. Start posting! If you're doing a job, post the before and after of it. Post reviews that your clients have. Post pictures of your happy customers next to you. Stuff like that. Let people see that you care about what you do and that you care about the people you're doing it for.

    3. Set up Facebook Ads Manager. You can do this by going to business.facebook.com and following their steps to set up an Ad Account so that you can run ads! You'll need to put in a credit/debit card so that you can run ads.

    4. Set up Facebook Pixel. This is one of the most important steps! The facebook pixel basically tracks the people who interact with your ads and follows them around (I know, creepy right!) wherever they go online. This helps us advertisers to put our ads in front of them and get them to spend their money with us! You can set up a facebook pixel by simply googling "how to set up facebook pixel" and an article will show you how to!

    5. Start running ads. Theres a lot that goes into targeting people on Facebook, but it's actually very useful/profitable to use Facebook to get new clients. You go to Facebook Ads manager (That you should now have set up...if you haven't, check #3) Have a simple post made, you can do this yourself using any picture or pay someone to make a post for you. You then click "Create Campaign" on ads manager. And then click on brand awareness, traffic, or conversions as your campaign objective. I know this probably sounds confusing, but if you message me or reply, I'd be more than happy to explain to you exactly how I've done it and do it.

    6. You can target different interests, different locations, and different behaviors of facebook users (Yes, actually!) For example, interests would probably be HVAC, AC, Heating, etc. We'd target those interests and then target only facebook users in your vicinity! After this, we'd set a budget on how much we want to spend on our ads. And then let Facebook do the rest!

    7. After seeing results, or not seeing results, we tweak and change things that aren't working and scale the things that are!

Hopefully this stuff made a little sense. If anyone has any questions, I'd be happy to answer!
