As Dad said, we can change the site rules. I did a quick check in the vBulletin manual and as far as I can tell the software can disallow certain characters in a username, but it's limited to specific characters that must be defined. It would make more sense to disallow anything other than standard English, alphanumeric characters and perhaps some common symbols like ?!*^%, but that doesn't appear to be possible.

Those hearts look to be an ASCII symbols.

The symbols that shouldnt be allowed are ones not readily available in a standard keyboard, touch or physical. Additionally +,*;@#$%^&()=!?:" as most of those have special functions in html and search coding. No special character should be allowed after a space as search engines often use them for special definitions. Though, that may be much harder to implement.

I cant search on hearts. Just as I cant (and wont) search on ascii penises which is very possible to make as a user name.

Charlie... too many characters to block so it would need to be done on a one to one deletion upholding the site rules.

His username is Azzhole in Greek. Were I to change my username to Azzhole in english, it would be fitting, but not allowed
