    compressor troubleshooting

    Hello,
there is a 3 phase AC compressor, SR=0.9 ohm, SC=0.9 ohm, CR=0.8 ohm, i am not sure this compressor is short or not, someone said it should over 20000 ohm resistant, it is not ground.
i have another single phase compressor shows: SR=0.7 ohm, SC=0.7 ohm, CR=0.8 ohm, it is not ground.
can anyone tell me those two is good or not, thanks!

The three phase might be good, the single phase is not.
If you were a real tech, you'd solder a relay on that board and call it good to go.

I do a triple evac with nitro to remove non condensables.

On a three phase motor each reading should be about the same. So like BBeerme said the 3 phase motor is likely good. I'd replace the single phase one.

From those numbers, I would say they are both 3 phase, and are good.

You should Meg the windings to ground to be sure.

thanks for all replies! i have a fluke claim meter $150 only can measure <30 ohms resistant, but a $20 multi-meter can measure 15,000 bleed resistant, what is going on? for the small compressor(reception), it is easy to see over few ohms on CR,CS, RS, why the big scroll compressor has less 1 ohms on those terminal?
