I’m getting the fake Amazon ads on my iPhone X too exactly as the OP stated. It’s a huge PITA. I can’t get out of it and have to delete the tab and come back in the site. I’ll email a screenshot to Dad.

Seems to be an issue with iOS only.

If you are having issues with Chrome then install Ghostery for Chrome.

While this is not a fix for the problem, it will 'fix' the issue for anyone using iOS devices if you install this content blocking app: https://1blocker.com

    cheers,

Thanks Robb. I have installed it on my iPad and iPhone.

It's = contraction of it is. Its = the possessive form of it
Too = also. To = expressing motion. Two = 2
Then = after that, next. Than = indicates a comparison.

Yes, it’s only an issue on my iPad. Using my Windows 10 pc there’s no issue.

It's also a huge problem on Chrome browser on my pixel2 xl. I just tried a couple different settings, but pop-ups were already blocked.

Just wondering why we have to install third party apps to use hvac-talk? It has to be something living on this web site's servers, I only get it when visiting hvac-talk. Why not fix it? Or is someone paying you lots of money to advertise a scam?

It is not something we can control
Wow. Too bad they can get away with that garbage. Hopefully something gets figured out because that will definitely prevent some guys from coming back here.

Just dump the ads. A year ago I was told "no help with site problems because you are using an ad blocker."

Today IT/admin is telling people to install the blocker.

Can't just stick with Google AdSense? They don't allow low quality ads, and if any get by the users can flag them.

I found a browser for android that not only blocks all these ads, it's actually a slick browser and very fast. It's called CM Browser. Not a single pop-up again since I installed it. Often it will say 18 ads blocked on a single hvac-talk page. Just passing it on in case you android guys are getting as annoyed as I was.
