If you were a real tech, you'd solder a relay on that board and call it good to go.

I do a triple evac with nitro to remove non condensables.

    No

I don't agree. I have been in the trade since '78. In the early years we did not braze, we used 95/5...so many less leaks and never overheated valves etc...

When I braze I rarely use 5% I prefer the 15% and I only braze it until it seals, it's that glowing red pipe that causes the oxidation and I don't heat the pipe to that point, purposefully. At the indoor coil I also prefer silver solder (6%) because it is much faster, seals evenly and the piping doesn't have to get as hot. Working this way I rarely have leaks to keep working on. Honestly, I can't recall the last time I discovered a leaking connection during the pressure test.

I have only had two incidents with TXV's and both were on change outs from 22 to 410a, both caused by clogging from the oil mixture (I assume the flush was not done well enough). Our flushing procedure got better and we also use super change to neutralize. Where possible we also change out the line sets.

I have had similar findings.. This is pretty much why I started the thread.
The oxide builds up when the pipe glows red. That is what I was taught some 40 yrs ago. many techs have trouble getting some particular joints to braze up...In my opinion the pipe wasn't cleaned well enough to start with and they keep heating up the joint and adding more silPhos...
