Anyone heard of NAVAC? New vacuum+charging "smart machine".

Saw in ad in The News for this thing, seems to be targeted at low-IQ minisplit installers that can't be arsed to spend the time doing it right. But maybe I would use one if it worked and I got it for free. It is an all-in-one machine that pulls a vacuum, does a rise/leak test, and then charges the system by weight using a bunch of built-in solenoids.

Info: http://navacglobal.com/productdetail_technical/32.aspx also it weighs just shy of 50 lbs.

Quick look seems to point to this for the average tech, not most of us on this site.

It's like reverting back to a manifold and other possible leak points again.
The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is proud to be distributing the greatest amount of free meals and stamps EVER.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior, asks us to "Please Do Not Feed the Animals". Their stated reason for this policy "... the animals become dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

See all the copper and flares inside the unit.

It's still being attached to a manifold, as well.

Again, this just adds more possible leak points than seems necessary.
