There is a special gasket. I believe special enough it's patent pending. joeyd?
Yes. Just an o-ring and a clamp.

I imagine he cant patent what already exists, so its probably the swivel flare adaptors that are pending.

For the hoses, we've developed a KF fitting with an integrated centering ring/o-ring. Two fewer parts to manage and lose (four if you count each end). We consider this a great advantage. So, no, individual hoses can not be stacked end-to-end without an additional adapter.

Both joey and jim used the "we" word in the posts. Maybe I missed something but I assume this is a collaboration? Also jim Is your profile correct?

Jim and I collaborated very closely on the creation of the hoses and kits.

Yeah, Jim. I'm also curious if you indeed like to fish.

Yep, I live on a large lake. Just wish I took more time to do it.

    And you own Redfish Instruments.

    Coincidence? I think not!

Love seeing these new products that you and Jim have been working on. Great products that focus on quality and convenience making our jobs easier. Any idea when we might see that BluFlame combustion analyzer hit shelves?

This is such an intelligently designed product. I will definitely be purchasing these hoses, but even the 1.5’s are too short for my liking. I’m sold as soon as the 8’s come out.

1.5 meters is about 5 ft. Add the ends, thats gonna be about 5 ft 6”

At 8 ft, your gonna get some performance loss for sure. The Appions are about 6 ft, and I also have a set of NRP’s that are identical to the Appions, except they’re 5ft long, I have yet to find a system that I could not make the 5 ft hoses work.

Using the appion hoses on intellapaks and some package units is sometimes tough of distance, I use a bucket to elevate the pump up. Anything shorter for me wouldn’t benefit.

Are any of those parts that come in the kits available separate? I’d like to get my hands on that shcrader depressor tool and core removal.

Also are the Bluetooth bluvac gauges available as well? I’d love to give that app a try thanks.

You can definitely get the bluetooth bluvac gauges. All the other stuff, not yet.

Word to the wise - go for the Bluvac Pro plus.

The app is most useful for that - I learned that the hard way. I bough the new Micro model, cause I was being cheap, and not all the features work on the app, such as the leak test feature.

Please someone help me understand why I would need to upgrade from my Appion 1/2" hoses and VCRT's?

Also, how fast of a vacuum is too fast? Meaning aren't we causing flash freezing in some cases?

Well one thing that might not be so obvious is hoses like this are easier to clean. If you've been using the same hoses for a while you'd be surprised how dirty they get.

I already have the micro and the professional I just don’t have the plus models, so the micro plus doesn’t do as much as the professional plus as far as using the app? I’d want to get the most out of the app.

Right. I have the original LTE, micro, and now the micro plus. The micro plus and LTE plus will both connect to the app, but the decay test/rise/leak test function is not supported.
