Im sure you can. Remember you dont have to pay anything for your health care or put anything into your retirement. Seattle is expensive and we are under that for wages and I do ok with being the sole income for my family. I just have to drive in 15/20 miles for my work.

Remember too, scale is just the minimum an employer can pay.

The scale is only $34 an hour here but almost everyone is getting paid well above that.

The billing rate? 150-275, it depends on the labor rate, nature of work, and billing method. I subbed some freeze collar work out a few months ago...1 hr on the job and another 2 hours of travel and the guy dinged me for 1400. Needless to say, I invested in freeze collar equipment.

Im not in the union (anymore) and I can call BS on that statement. I dont agree with the union (it's not my thing) but I dont bash those that like it or choose to be in it.

What's your hangup with EVERYTHING except your ways?

Left-wingers run the Bay Area maybe I should have been a little more specific. They run California and the Bay Area is the left-wing Utopia. All these Lefty cities you have rich and poor. That's what's going on here in Seattle to.
