So you dont get uniforms until after you've been working for 6 months? Seems legit.

Company provides Shits, jackets, hats, only service techs and PM get "uniforms" installers get cotton tee shirts and provide their own pants/jeans. At least until uniform allowance kicks in, then you can buy the pants, socks, shoes, belts, thermals, whatever you need.

Say what you want about it, but I like it because service and pm have to buy their own shoes, and coveralls, install doesn't, we get them with uniform allowance.

Not to bust your balls but Work Shoes are considered PPE and must be employer supplied. FR rated shirts if using a touch or working on or near live electrical are also considered PPE and company supplied. As a mater of fact everything labeled Safety is employer supplied

Not busting my balls, I don't own the company, We are just looking for help and I was told I could post an ad for it in here.

Providing a uniform allowance I assume allows for the PPE required things to be bought, I will find the specific osha regs I assume? and bring it up with the GM. Any specific regs you know about I should cite?

    ALL PPE is employer supplied.

    Check OSHA regs.

    Ask your insurance provider.

Footwear isnt PPE unless your company requires a certain type like steel toed boots or some other specific type of foot wear. I know some companies will pay for a portion of your boot cost via voucher or have a discount program with a certain store.

But yea all.other PPE like safety glasses or gloves must be paid for by the employer.
