Trane BMTX to Bacnet Ethernet or Bacnet IP

We have two BMTX controllers in two separate buildings we need to talk Bacnet Ethernet or Bacnet IP so we can integrate them to our platform. Two questions:

    1. Do they already communicate in either protocol by default or do they need to be configured?
    2. Can any configuration be done via remote connection or does a technician have to be their locally?

If there is configuration and it can be done remotely, we're interested in finding a few companies to bid the project to as we need to complete the integration in the next two weeks and can provide secure remote access.

Default is Ethernet. You have to manually enable IP, locally at the panel. Not able to be done remotely.
