Vacuum hose tree of doom
Hey guys, I can’t believe I’m having trouble locating this as I know I’ve seen it before. Trying to find who sells a brass tee- 3/8” flare on one side to go onto the 3/8” male fitting on my vacuum pump, then up probably 4” with two 1/2” male thread fittings at the top to attach my two 1/2” appion hoses with 1/2” female fittings. I’d prefer if they (1/2”) were parallel to each other but I’m not going to nitpick.
I’ve looked online, talked to trutechtools, Baker distributing, Ferguson, my service manager and my lead tech and I get blank stares. Appion sells something like this in their MegaFast or whatever evacuation kit, but that’s $600. Anyone? Bueller?

You’re looking for the yellow jacket vacuum tree. I have one that came in the Appion mega flow kit. I have seen them at supply houses, but it’s been a while. Found many listed online with a quick google search.

I came across all of these as well in my initial search. While all of these products have a flared female end in 1/2" or 3/8", none of them have the two male thread ends in 1/2". Lots of choices if you want 1/4" or 3/8" but none I've found that will take my vacuum hoses

Buy the YJ, and unscrew the 2) 3/8" SAE Flare x 1/4 MPT fittings and screw in two 1/2" SAE Flare by 1/4" MPT fittings. You could likely also just to United Refrigeration and find what you need in the brass fittings selections. One note, I would use leak lock red for all of the fittings, not for sealing, but because it dries and will not outgas as much in a vacuum.

build your own... if your using CRTs even a tiny leak on the homemade rig wont matter as most working pumps will overcome it and still pull a deep vacuum. but hey, it is our(your) job to create leak free systems, how hard can it be....
my boss thinks its possible to repeal the laws of physics

Sounds like all you need is a 1/2” flare union and a 1/2” flare tee.
Or TTT and others sell really short 1/2” x 1/2” hoses if you want an o-ring type seal for finger tightening everything together.

Another option would be to get a couple braze on 1/2” male flare taps, and some 1/2” tubing with a flare nut, and make your own that way.
There are lots of ways to fry this egg. You just need to be a little more creative.

Also, the standard megaflow Appion hose if thats what you have is 3/8 x 1/4 but the hose is 1/2” or a little more.

I wanted to get a tree for my 1/2” appion hoses as well. Looked around quite a bit and even called TTT. Never found one. Let me know if you end up finding/making one.

It's summer where I live and I got a 3 month old so I will probably just buy a 1/2" hose with 1/4 and 3/8 ends. I don't have any spare time to go making something from scratch. Seemed like a no brainer that someone must sell something like this individually, Appion I'm looking at you

I think what the OP wants is this, and a standard 1/2” flare tee.

I paint all the joints with imperial Liqui-vac sealer.
the thing that irritates me with them is the crappy ball valves.
