    Virginia commercial job market

What is it like to work in Virginia? Possibly looking to relocate. Looks like there is a decent amount of commercial jobs.

There is a huge shortage of Techs here in the Roanoke area.

What part of VA? I’m in Northern and you will never run out of work. Downside? Expensive as f#^* to live here. Upside? You’ll make bank.

If you are still looking, try companies in Maryland also. The work in northern Virginia will most likely also include DC and Maryland. I worked for a company out of Gaithersburg, MD for 11 years. Great company to work for. I worked anywhere from Baltimore, MD to Richmond, VA and as far east as West Virginia. I ended up moving to Texas but I was to ever move back I would go back to the same company.
As the previous post mentioned, it is expensive, but if you don't mind driving in you can live out a ways and find affordable housing. Now that I live in Texas and did some research, cost of living is about the same anywhere you go. Stay away from DC metro area.
