Is there a reference that links CHW delta T and fan and/or plant energy saving?

We've cleaned a few cooling coils that hadn't been cleaned for years and now the customer is seeing an improvement in CHW delta T at the coil. The customer wants to be able to provide a direct link between this improvement and energy savings so that they can get approval for us to clean all of their cooling coils on the campus. Do you know of a reference (peer review article, etc.) that links improvement in CHW delta T and fan energy or plant energy?

Well, [assuming a fixed speed tower fan] the fan energy will actually go up because it's doing more work moving air through the unobstructed coils. However, the savings comes from reduced plant energy required to achieve your desired LWT.

I found this article to be very informative, but I can't post links so you'll have to search for it. It is in INDEED.com, just type in "Low Delta-T Syndrome" in your browser search and look for the article in Indeed.com by Mohammed Zakeer CEng, MCABE, MIET

Optionally you could try measuring the energy use of the cleaned system for a time (week, month, 3 months, etc.) while measuring the energy used by a dirty system at the same time. Or measure a dirty system's energy use, clean it, then compare energy use. Sometimes the customer can be easier convinced with actual physical data.

Try an Internet search for Low Delta T Syndrome. Steve Taylor wrote an article for ASHRAE on the topic. However, there are several more.

I observed this article to be exceptionally enlightening, yet I can't post interfaces so you'll need to scan for it. It is in INDEED.com, simply type in "Low Delta-T Disorder" in your program scan and search for the article in Indeed.com by Mohammed Zakeer CEng, MCCABE, MIET

Alternatively, you could have a go at estimating the vitality utilization of the cleaned framework for a period (week, month, 3 months, and so on.) while estimating the vitality utilized by a grimy framework in the meantime. Or on the other hand measure a messy framework's vitality use, clean it, at that point think about vitality use. Some of the time the client can be simpler persuaded with genuine physical information.
