I have the older version of the Retrotec DU200 duct test kit, and it doesn't have the spring loaded hooks to easily connect the flex duct flange to a ceiling R/A grille.
So, I'm sure some of you have found ways to make this easy without having to tape them in place.
My thoughts are to:
- Drill holes for hooks and make my own spring loaded fasteners.
- Stick magnets around the perimeter of the flange to make the connection even easier. (won't work on aluminum)
Any input would be helpful?

On page 2 of this guide for the DU200 they show a pic of taping the flange to the grille.
I don't have the new model US341 that has hooks

I’ll invest in vent caps once the equipment starts paying for itself. Otherwise, I can fabricate a shallow pan out of sheet metal with a foam edge if I want to go that far. I’m thinking a couple hooks would work pretty well with the existing flange.
