    Vulcan griddle vgmt365 ( thermostat issues)

    What’s the best way to calibrate these stats? Is it normal needing to calibrate them right out of box? Seems after calibrating they still function erratically. Just curious to what you are seeing out there in the field

    I check & adjust the calibration every thermostat I install.

    During t-stat installation, extreme care must be exercised to not damage the sensing bulb and cap tube. A pinch or any sharp bends in the cap tube may ruin a t-stat. Make sure that no part of the sensing bulb or cap tube left is in a position where it's exposed to flame. Excess cap tube should be carefully rolled up and stored forward of the heat shield - NOT in the burner section. I like to curl it up just behind the t-stat body.
