The Florida Shooting. Who's really at fault

    https://constitution.com/school-shoo...t-believe-set/

READ THE ENTIRE ARTICLE, then make your comments

Instead of worrying about guns, the media should be asking how could local police pay 39 different visits (Broward Police claim it was “only” 23 visits) to one student without that student ever spending significant time in prison or a psychiatric ward. They should be asking why the local police wouldn’t share information about this high school kid with social services or other law enforcement agencies.

The truth is that our laws and law enforcement procedures were enough to stop the Douglas High School shooting before it ever happened, but because of the corruption sowed by the Broward County School District and local police leaders, those laws and procedures were ignored.

If the procedures (and laws) had been followed, Cruz would have never been allowed to purchase a gun. He would have likely already been incarcerated, and he never would have had the opportunity to kill 17 people.

This case isn’t about guns. And the answer isn’t more gun control.

This case is about school districts lying to their families in an effort to get more money and more political influence. It’s about local police forces being willing to ignore crime and refusing to abide by the laws that they promised they would uphold. It’s about government failures at every level and how that corruption and failure led to the death of 17 innocent people.

Don’t let the media sell you some sob story about how we need more gun control in this country. This is all about corrupt politicians and money.

I blame liberalism and psychotropic meds that try and cure it.

When the idiot turned an AR-15 on his classmates it was labeled an Assault Weapon. Yesterday the police were reported standing watch holding AR-15 military style rifles, not nearly as scary sounding. Liberalism is a disease.

And, like another idiot would attack the same target zone. Good thing the good guys with guns were there after the perp did his deed!

    If thinking was easy,

So that explains sort of why this bad apple as they say fell through the cracks. But in this case it was not cracks he slipped through but missing planks.
I have said it was the fault of government in this case, the kid should have been stoped before - should have not passed background check to get gun. That is why they are pushing for gun control so bad on this one to cover up for the failures of their "god" the government.
There is only one truly right way to do something, but there are thousands of wrong ways to varying degrees to do it.
So the question is: If you don't do it right, then how wrong is it going to be???

Yeah, at the root of that shooting, the police et al were told not to report crimes. That way the crime rate appeared to be low. So they could get federal funding. Even stolen items that were recovered could not be returned to the innocent victims, because then that crime that was being ignored would need to be listed as a statistic.

The real crime here is that the LEO's were not enforcing the law. I guess we have become the same as south of the border. Obummer did a great job of destroying America. Don't fool yourselves, we will never recover.

Who is at fault for the Recent Florida Shooting? Easy - The American Voters. Stop voting for incumbents! But we can come back to that in a minute - let's start with:

In 1959 there were about 150 million Americans. 500,000 of them were safely locked away in mental institutions. In 2016 there were about 300 million people. But only about 25,000 of them were safely locked away in mental hospitals.

No Wonder it seems like the country has gone-nuts! We let all the friggin nuts out to run around loose and eff things up for everybody. Nutballs with guns are the obvious problem - how many sane people are out shooting up malls and schools and all that? Hardly any - it's the goddamned Nuts who are doing this sh!t all the time.

And: We also let all the Nuts vote.

And: mental hospital residents can't breed easily. Whereas the nuts we have let run around loose are freely able to produce more and more nuts all the time. And WE support them! <g>

Corrupt police and politicians my azz! It's the American People who are corrupt and shamefully mis-using their Vote.

A gun control law that will work. Increase gun control back ground checks on people more likely to commit crimes.
Look to the jails who is there in higher proportions than average. increase background checks on the sector.

Or do it the easier way most criminals lean toward Democratic Ideology. Ban people who are democrats/ agree with their ideology from having guns and I bet the amount of gun crimes would see a sharp decrease. Seriously any talkers on this bet against me???

I don't think the vast majority of the American people know the corruption of politics. Maybe blame the media instead. For not actually reporting the foundation of the problem. Especially the recent shooting in Florida. The media is complicit in a huge cover up of the facts.

Regarding everyone calling that on site armed security guard a coward, they really don't understand what is going on. Here's the way that works:

When you are young in law enforcement, with no wifey or kids, you'll run into any situation all by yourself.

When you are older with a wifey, kids, or grandkids, you will not risk having your family without a provider. You will not run into a life threatening situation without backup. That's just the way it is. Across all law enforcement.
If you were a real tech, you'd solder a relay on that board and call it good to go.

BB on that mater did he or the other police first on scene have vests??? anyone know this would make a difference- no vest then some latitude, if they had vest on well then that starts to be a different matter. After all in our work we risk our lives more than the average person. How about working on a outdoor unit at night/in the rain/snow covered roofs. How about a firefighter who won't go into a burning building to save a life - same thing no equipment gets a pass but with equipment they are not doing their job.

I don't know about the vest, but let's go back to the very beginning. The culture was DO NOT ENFORCE THE LAW. If you enforce the law, then the REPORTED crime rates will soar and we will lose our federal monies for decreasing crime. Meaning, you will lose your job.

So if you are told not to enforce the law, cover up crime, and alter your reports, why would he have any inclination to wear a vest?
