    IAQ, shame thread

Lets go! I will start with a doozy , lol.

Got a new building, 280 tons of dx (indoors) with tower & boiler.
Many 407c conversions to be done.
Ask the boss if the j trunk was open, said it was ok.
I started but 2nd day into it I did not feel right, the crew too.
On the 3rd day one of the new hires put his meter probe to 480 & ground! This took out the all the fuses all the way to the main. What a cluster it was... He got fired too.
That night I bolted out bed, I knew what was going on...
I could not get to that roof fast enough & found the damper at 10% and the blemo frozen!
This vent is meant to be at 100% and only close at night!
I was livid at my boss. I locked it open.
The place was is shambles because of this poor IAQ, service people could never do an even adequate job.

Not to mention the Tenants who were stressed for years...

The J trunk damper is 36x36 and is the fresh air intake for the entire building.

Each 60 ton mechanical rm is adjacent to the bathroom.
I did also set up my portable exhaust blower to remove fumes from soldering to the bathroom exhaust vents but all the while only 10% was getting in the building.

    Wow, is this section slow!
I have corrected these sick buildings, some with CO2 monitoring, but never got trapped in one.
    .

Boring subject, yet rampant in practice.
    Oh well
