Gee, I don't know why we don't seem to cool down all that much.....

I always thought the whole idea of air conditioning was to remove the heat from an occupied space and move it somewhere else.
Wouldn't putting the condenser IN FRONT OF THE FRESH AIR INTAKE kinda defeat that?

    Lol, welcome to New York.

I was amazed at the lack of inspection and code enforcement when I moved up here from NC.

I have visited your big city many a time...

However there is not enough gold in Ft Knox (yeah, I know... it is all gone)... to get me to live there.
    Too much corruption!

Fun place to visit... NOT a place for me to live.

I do not even run service calls in downtown in my city... and we still have some semblance of parking... grin!@

I could see that passing here just fine they only worry about combustion exhaust and electrical. If you want to bring all that warm air you are paying to remove right back inside that is your own business.

After 34 years in the business ; nothing surprises me anymore . It s a shame how dollars deteriorated the industry standard . Also the quote " They were cheaper than you people ".

    No permit = no inspection.
In our area, the city rolls permit money into the general fund.
When we complain about poor enforcement, we are told they don't have the funds.
Permits = de facto tax revenue.

If this was the only way to set this up in my area the fresh air intake would have to have a damper on it so it was closed while the ac was on
OR the code enforcement officer would say NO GO

Probably would fly here. I could see it now... Man, putting this unit here will help keep the unit cooler and run more efficient with the vent sucking all the hot air away....
