HOW MANY TECHS HAVE AN AMCA FAN APPLICATION MANUAL
Just curious do most of you have an AMCA (AIR MOVEMENT AND CONTROL ASSOCIATION, INC.) Fan Application Manual? It is a great resource for help in identifying HVAC fan and duct system problems.

I haven't bought one in several years. The phone number for the order desk I have is 708-394-0404. They have several publications to choose from. You should get a copy of their publication list and decide which one/s suit what you do best. The best one in my opinion for service techs is 203-90 Field Performance Measurements of Fan Systems.

On AMCA web site they list the manuals. Price range is from $15 to $270 for PDF's. They have one for $15 that may suit your needs. I don't know the content so it might be best to call them and tell them what info you would like and they will help you choose the right publication.

I'll give it a try

A source for used ASHRAE manuals is Ebay. They might be a few years old but a lot of engineering doesn't change. The Fundamentals Manual is probably the most useful.
New editions are $$$.

Techman and John5,
Have they added information in the last few years related to system effect factors? NEBB and some others donated money for additional research to develop more information on system effect but I haven't heard anything about the results.
