Geothermal Multistage Control Finish With High heat stage

    Hello,

I have a 2 stage Geothermal heat pump (Climatemaster Tranquility 22) paired up with a Honeywell Prestige IAQ thermostat.

Looking at the settings of the thermostat I see the option of Multistage control in particular:
3021: Finish With High Heat Stage
3020: Finish With High Cool Stage

    Honewell's manual says:

Multistage Control keeps the high stage of the equipment
running until the desired setpoint is reached. This setting is
recommended for Geothermal Heat Pumps to allow the loop to
    rest.
Select Yes to turn on this feature. Default is No
    .

I see that it is turned off at this point, but the manual is recommending to set it On for Geo Heat Pumps.

I'm not sure exactly what are the advantages and disadvantages of this. Can anyone please give me a short explanation?

    and

Shall I set the multistage control to ON for both Heating and Cooling, or is better to just leave it off as the default?

I would want it to drop back to low stage. Less cycling, longer run times.
