    Split bearings

    Anyone ever use one of these split bearings? Slick as snot changing out a center bearing.

    Ive heard you need a dial to check space between bearing rolers and housing with the shaft suspended . If thats the same type Im thinking.

    We had to move the bearing support as the bearing is thicker than a standard pillow block bearing.

    I have not used that brand but have have used other brands. on Evapco towers the blower shaft is 10' long and the center support bearing is in the middle. worked great. took a grinder with thin disk and cut the old bearing off
