    An 8 fan chiller is exactly 500kw and two of these is 1mw (give or take a gallon of pudding or two)

    Let's see:

    Quantity of heat=M (Mass: one kg of water is 1ltr) x C (Coefficient: the specific heat of water is 4.19) x Delta T

    Take a pressure drop across the evaporator eg. 50kpa and look at the evaporator curve eg. 15ltr. Now you have got M
    Lake the temperature difference across the evaporator @ 100% eg. 6 degrees. Now you have got Delta T

    So:

    Quantity of heat= 15 x 4.19 x 6
    Quantity of heat= 377kw

    If your machine is pulling 87kwh divide it out:

    377/ 87 = 4.3 Coefficient of performance

    Or just use the number of fans method: 8 fans is 500kw
