    Steam Injection on Deck Oven

    Hi Guys,

I am about to purchase a used deck oven, it is in good condition but the steam injection is not working. The previous owner tells me that it has just recently stopped working. It's most likely a calcium/limescale build up.

The oven is an oil fired unit.

Has anyone got experience with fixing these systems? If so how involved is it? I am in Ireland so I would have to get a technician over from England to repair it.

    Thanks,
    Adam

Most deck ovens are flash steam driven by some sort of solenoid. Pretty simple to repair. Usually just a solenoid, electrical switch and possibly a relay.
