Nice job, even took the time to paint the ductwork. Now they can dance down there if they wanted.
It's not what you're capable of doing that defines you, it's what you do on a daily basis.

It'll bring it down to 50. The actual load was like 1.8 tons and almost all of it was lighting. The duct was just so big and poorly designed and the area so sprawled out I was scared there wouldn't be enough blower to fill it.

Only if he removed it as part of the install and did not put it back.
as he did NOT modifie the steps on his install its NOT required.
the more you bait the more code reply's you will get lean to keep youre mouth shut and ill stop the code posts

TO bad HVAC marc does not know its not required as you did not change the stairs with youre new install.
if you had taken any hand rail down and did not put it back afterwards then it would fail.
funny how those who know the least about my state try to act like they do.

see my reply to jtrammel as you don't live in Maine don't quote my states code or not codes

Trump is making America great again. I'll quote any real or made-up Federal, state, county, city or municipality codes that I feel like!

I never made any comment about the stairs/rail being a code issue, nor anything about code in general, plus nothing about your state or his.
