No, I haven't saved any of those pics, but here's a few from Google to see what to look for.

I truly would like to know.
the fur on the ear is much shorter and it radiates heat more readily. the thicker fur on the pug is long and short hair, plus the longs are hollow. thicker fur holds more heat longer.

Might be the FLIR DM284 Imaging Multimeter with IGM. At that price-point I am surprised that it has the same resolution as the E6.

I bought the little do-wad that fits my Android phone. I bought the flow sensor fan, too. I think the Flir was 199 and the cfm gauge 99.

So it's safe to say - boobs are "cool". Or at least they should be.

It looks like anything abnormally warm/hot is suspect, and should get further diagnoses. Perhaps after the visual, a hands on test, not sure what the next logical check would be.

Here's where the spot welded pig tail on a klixon compressor overload developed a high resistance dropping 2-3V IIRC causing overload to open/close continuously and melt insulation. IR image from an old Fluke Ti-30, very expensive at that time.

Couldn't get these pics to post from my Android tablet last night for some reason!

The FLIR E6 came in today. So, here are some pic's.

The first one is of the seat I was sitting in five minutes before I took the picture.

The next one is of my Shih Tzu, not your Pug.

The third picture is of an anomaly near the ceiling peak in my living room. This is a vaulted ceiling. There is about a two foot gap between the insulation on the ceiling and the roof in this area. The sun was hitting the roof from about 10 O'Clock. Looks like I need to check that out. Once I saw this area on the thermo., I was able to see a faint, barely visible dark discoloration of the ceiling paint. I took another picture after the sun had set, and the temperature of that area was not distinguishable from the rest of the ceiling.

Like it or not, more pictures will follow.

The insulation is missing in that area. They are really good at finding missing insulation in ceilings and walls without having to go in the attic.

    I don't have pictures but have used thermo imaging to check an electrical panel, breakers would trip once & awhile;

found the electricians had loose connections on some breakers, loose connections on the buss bars (some were also cross threaded)

Have also confirmed that the hvac air flow was affecting a medium temp case (inconsistent temps, warmer & colder spots in the case)

if the hvac roof top unit was shut off the case ran fine; was affecting the case air flow/air curtain. Was able to prove to customer that

    the case wasn't the problem.

Also used to check hot gas defrost issues on large evaporators in a warehouse; lower part of the evaporator doesn't get very warm or as hot as

the top part of the evaporator causing icing issues.

Checked compressors on market racks & found that one compressor looked bad; sure enough & we replaced it within two days.

Even though these cameras don't detect changes in air temp, I see no reason duct leakage couldn't be found by pointing at adjacent surfaces...like runing the camera along a duct until you hit a cold spot., or where ducts connect to the plenum. Also good for, as mentioned, seeing places where insulation is missing, windows that might be leaking. Seems like there could be a lot of uses. I particularly like the video Doug posted of the drier restriction.

Here's a youtube search on Flir one hvac

Some exploration is needed to determine the source of that heat. There could be a latent load involved.
