[QUOTE=BBeerme;24025551]Alumiweld didn't work for me. It works to solder aluminum together, like a boat or lawn chair, but under a pressure test there were leaks. I tried and tried, but never got a leak free repair.

    At the same points?

My mistake, looks like I was playing with Alumaloy, not Alumiweld.

Not sure what you're trying to ask, but in my tests, I'd start with a 1/8" hole.

    PHM,

    Here in a short info:

    http://www.virginiaair.com/index.php...nel-repair-kit
    http://muggyweld.com/aluminum-welding

    and article from Lance Robinson:

    http://www.kaltra.de/single-post/201...fix-or-replace

    and video:

Probably you'll need some practice and accuracy when repairing, and the most important are to keep low temperature during soldering.

I'll record a video of the whole process..

My take on this Mikey is these units come with 10/12 year warranties.
I don't see me repairing them.

I have used Dura fix before...
