I don't eat at these places very often, would rather make my own lunch home. I have been eating peanut butter/honey sandwiches along with an apple for lunch for many years. The problem happens if I drive by a dairy queen....chances are that I will stop and get a chocolate malt.

How a company tricked people into thinking eating an entire loaf of bread in a sitting is amazing to me.

If Subway would improve their bread (as in get rid of the GM high gluten bread)...
I would start eating there again...

Subway and a Canadian national news broadcast are not friends right now. Apparently DNA results that CBC had tested say Subways chicken is 50% soy..........
Subway is suing for 210 million.

The taco meat at Taco Bell is less than 35% meat.

    LOL!

Oatmeal, I think. Which is absolutely terrible for those of us watching our carbohydrate intake.

I tend to get bacon/egg sandwiches when I get fast food...
Most of the time I go to a sit down fast food place... like Zaxby's...

The grilled Cobb 'Zalad' is a favourite of mine.

Of all the carbs that like to 'hang around' ones waistline... oatmeal is probably the least destructive.
OTOH... I would prefer to keep better control of the quality of the carbs also.

Except, if I'm getting a taco, the only carbs I expect to see will be in the taco shell.

So it's a double whammy. Since there is substantially less protein to offset the carbs.

But yes, I am fully aware of the difference between simple and complex carbs.

Just seems to me there should be a standard that says if you're going to call it meat, then it should be at least 80% meat. Certainly not less than 35% meat.

Yeah... that would be a good idea... making the fast food places honest about meat content in their meat.

Burger King advertises 100% beef... wonder if that is true or fluff...

And I don't think I even want to know how your strip all the fat from a meat. Or what, if any, nutritional value is left afterwords.

I mean, my freaking gawd, if you want to loose weight fast, just eat white fish for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can eat as much as you want, whenever you get the least bit hungry. You'll probably lose 10 Lbs or more per week.
I tend to disagree. Mercury and lead weigh a lot!

The reason I used to like Subway was the veggies...
Now if another sub shop with better bread had equal or better veggies...

    I am interested!
