(GA has acted as MOD at many a forum, including this one... ARP... now and then one has to make a tuff decision... most of the time it is routine).

Whoa, now it's a two man race.

    They're neck and neck folks . . .

    Deadline's approaching for this phase . . .

I thought about throwing my hat in the ring. Mainly just curious how many votes I would've gotten. But I don't think I really want to be a moderator. At least right now. I would have to be like, you know, responsible.

    Running a small business...
Being 'responsible' is just a way of life for me...

And yeah... that old joke applies: If it happened... GA is probably responsible... LOL

Been a MOD at many a site...
    *The original ARPC
*A political forum about 4 years ago (give or take)
*At a hobby machinist forum (metal working machines... lathe, mill, etc)... was on the BOD of that forum for a while
    *And a few others...

Being a MOD is really simple...
Read the posts, when something questionable shows up, consult privately with the other mods as to what action (if any) needs to be taken... and MODS take turns being the bearer of bad news.

    Yeah, it is a committment...
OTOH... if one likes the forum and the folks there...
It is more like keeping the peace in a local watering hole or Pub... when the inevitable 'incident' happens.

IMO... 'MODDING' a forum where most of the posters are regulars (as opposed to newbees all the time)... would seem a LOT easier to me.

I agree with fraud, you weren't supposed to vote for yourself.
Maybe you should make your posts more articulate like Roy.

It is that idea that 'acting like' one is educated...

Somehow magically makes someone a leader...

    Which is NOT true...
Rather is lie the DEMS have figured out how to perpetrate on the public.

I've been dying to ask Moman if he voted for himself. But out of respect, I've been holding back.

Oh, no...you didn't, MG. Remember the old line about not throwing bricks when you live in a glass house. Your username is one letter swap away from a very embarrassing new nickname!

Of course, I would never say which letter because I am trying to earn my wings for the great retirement home in the sky.

Yeah, but what if I don't want to read some posts? Like the Brian Vs Brian threads. Gawd, I mean really, how many times can you read the same thing over and over and over and over without your head exploding?

Those are probably the only threads I have unsubscribed to. Just couldn't take it any more.

I mean, a point in time did come when I learned to recognize what was going on, then I'd skim a dozen posts in a matter of seconds. But that was still time I'll never get back.
