    Slow loading!!!!!

Over the past several weeks, it is taking longer and longer to load a page here.

Down in the lower left hand corner of my browser is a host of activity, that usually starts with "connecting to" and "waiting for."

I don't care about fakebook or v4moatads or any of this other junk.

    How can I stop it?????

I have dealt with malware in the past, including root kits.

This is the only site that loads this way.

You might want to pass that along.

use an ad blocker and put a stop to all the stuff. but dont expect help here if there's an issue. but, do expect to never have to deal with all the ads, and ad related trojan crap like everyone else deals with. I highly suggest noscript.

Only thing I've noticed is occasionally the "Like this post" doesn't work.

    I use noscript.

Most of the things I see loading are related to ads and google and fakebook.

    Too much stuff.

I spent some time today researching "moatads."

It is a malicious ad service. It is not currently installed on my computer. I went through every malware service and ran directory and startup checks, and even false IPs. Nothing.

Apparently, this runs on Amazon servers, and can be a part of just about any advertising, including ads that run on youtube.

In fact, it could be embedded in ads we have here. I don't have the software needed to check that.

I'm going to reset Noscript, as I mistakenly set H Talk for "allow all this page." I think that was my mistake.

when I view this site, there are no ads whatsoever. ZERO. No banners, no borders. Zip. The only one I allow is the comfortech one, and that may be temporary, too, since it never gets changed

Wow! Turning off JavaScript worked like a champ!
It was so damn annoying I was not really using the site anymore because it would freeze and load pages sooooo slow. Without script it's back to normal.
    Thanks

For iPad go to settings, Safari, advanced, and turn off Java.

Mozilla sent out a Firefox update, and now some add-ins no longer function.

If I reinstall Noscript, can I prevent the list of loading extras that cause this site to load so slowly?

    a.dmpsrv?

Facebook static? I don't use facebook, I want to avoid it ENTIRELY.

...and all the other stuff that does not do a thing for ME

How can I tell Firefox to load ONLY the site, and no connections to other stuff I don't want??????

noscript should update automatically, but yes, you can also reinstall it. you can also go into noscript and disallow previously allowed sites
