This is why model and serial numbers are helpful. At least enough of it to identify what it is.

Yep.... except he’s been trying to get the password since yesterday morning. If he’d open the book and looked up binding, he’d have the password instantly.

I honestly don’t have the password memorized and I don’t even know what he’s working on. I would have to look it up too.

According this note from Trane some chillers software can now be upgraded making possible to bind LLID without TU.

    "AdaptiView Display LLID Binding

LLID binding through the AdaptiView Display is now possible with proper versions of UC800 firmware.

    Simplex CTV's requires UC800 firmware version 14.01.

    Duplex CTV's require UC800 firmware version 9.0.

HDWA is slated for Nov 2019; firmware version TBD.

The passcode to bind through the AdaptiView display is 2718.

The firmware is backwards compatible with older versions of AdaptiView Displays (i.e. gray colored displays), as long as the UC800 has the proper FW. Be aware, do not upgrade the AdaptiView display firmware!

LLID binding via the AdaptiView display is a basic way to bind LLIDs. The display does not show any LLID properties; i.e. the properties window below the LLID list in as in Tracer TU, or the "all LED's on / all LED's off." These still require the use of Tracer TU.
There is not better place for the working men than the union! 100% UA the only HVAC union!

That’s correct. As of August, 2018, LLID binding is available on CTV’s on the front panel with the latest firmware.

If older panels can be upgraded with the latest firmware..... TU would be needed to upgrade the firmware, would the firmware be available to contractors or to Trane employees only? then whats the ballpark cost? This could be a great redemption tool for Trane or another money grabbing scheme. time will tell.

I’m sure the firmware is available to contractors as it always has been, at least in my area. I have no idea on costs or anything like that. I think the commercial salesmen handle that.

    Correction… August 2019, not 2018.
