Niagara AX Current User Access Level to Numeric Value

What I'm trying to do is determine the current user access level or user name to restrict which buttons can be seen in the site. I can restrict which PX pages can be seen by a user but it still lets him follow the hyperlink and the page says its not available, that's great but I don't want them to even be able to see that button based on permission levels. I don't want to have to explain to each tenant why they are restricted from certain px pages and others are not.

The system can determine if they can see the px page so that data must be there somewhere? If I can get it I can animate the Visibility Slot and hide the button altogether.

Let me know any ideas you have or if you have done this in the past.

    Thanks

On the properties of your hyperlink button you should have a slot called DegradeBehaviour under the Hyperlink Binding,
Set that to Hide and this should do the trick.

If the user does not have permissions to view the ord in the value binding of the button then the Degrade feature can either disable or hide the button.

Excellent! Tested and worked. Reason it wasn't working was that I had the targeted PX page in the hyperlink but not in the Ord. Left it null. Once I copied the PX to the ORD it worked.

Thanks guy, this was a huge help.
