    water cooled condenser

    Has anyone cleaned a water cooled condenser on DKM 500BWH Hoshizaki ice machine?

    back flush it, looks like it was cut out with a saw on the refer side.

    It's similar, but all copper. Bad water down here in south Texas clog it up with scale.

    You need a acid pump made by Calgon and a hose kit.you disconnect the water side and circulate scale remover!

    I wonder if it's really worth it. How many years to bad scaling?

    Up here, water condenser coils perforate in 5 to 7 years.

    I heard Hoshizaki got a kit for cleaning. I just wonder if worth doing on old ice machine.

    I flush them all the time. I have a bucket with various hoses, fittings and a pump. I use it to flush tankless WH's too.
