I'm there as far as I could never work in an office. I'd be the one with the AK47 one day.
15 yrs ago, I could've been up there with ya, but now a 12/8 pitched roof is enough for me...

If you got me up there, one of the beams would be crush. It would take a team of medics to get me down.

I agree completely, I have a business degree and hated sitting like a moron at a desk full of papers. Kissing ass and hoping the boss will say goodmorning or invite me to lunch. At the end of my office days, I WAS asked to go to lunch and told HIM I was busy......

Great pics, NYC is beautiful, I have driven around there thinking, "people made all of this."

I was an office manager for 3 years bofore entering the trade. I wanted to stab myself in the neck with a bollpoint pen I was going so crazy.

I have run electrical on a rooftop in newark in 10 inches of snow and a consistent windspeed of 15mph (that's why there is an airport there), and installed a 2 million btu boiler system on a roof cutback in 90+ degree heat, with the discharge of an evaporative cooling tower washing it's gentle breeze of still hotter, still more humid air over our worksite.

I'll never go back if I can help it.

just dress warmer, drink more gatorade, or strap yourself to the I beam.

    *************Smiley Faces UNITE!!!!!************

All you H-talk guys make it happen out there.

Again: Heres to NOT working in an office.

You have all my respect to do that job. I'll be the office chick to the A/C guy any time. I do not mind being a helper though.. I'll stay below and stay out of the way looking for city inspectors to hedge them off for ya..

I'm an office guy now. But I do have the freedom to take field trips. So on a blustery cold day or a blazing hot afternoon I'm busy in the office. When it's a nice day out I could go up there with you, enjoy the view, make sure you know what your doing and then leave. That, my friend is the best of both worlds.
If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice.
