I had the connected pair and it was like dealing with a bow of spaghetti with all the wires tangling, disliked it before I ever used it. My first three attempts were on PM work on commercial chillers and the wire lengths would not allow connection to both high and low without adding hose whips, I was done. It was one of those things that worked great in theory but in the field was terrible. I was never going to get happy with all the wires. Seems funny my new wireless gizmo had more wires than any tool I had ever used. Wish I had popped for the Sporlan Smart tool for the application I had wanted it for. Still want to try the Sporlan but I am seeing little new about them and worried about support.

My coworker that has the Mantooth just informed me an Android app just came out, which he installed and so far he is having no connection problems.

Android app has been out for a long time. Are you talking about an other product?

Nope. He has a mantooth, and said the app just updated, and since he downloaded the update it has been much better connecting.

Jeez, I haven't had any problems. I wonder if my app updated itself?

Yep. Too many wires for a wireless tool. I may do as lytning suggested he might do and buy a single transducer and disconnect the wire tethered unit. The app ( latest android anyway) needs improvement imo...
-No zoom capability.
-Tiny box to check for connection to device..even small on my tablet..very annoying.
-Not optimized for outdoor visibility. Needs larger, bolder fonts. Maybe the option to invert colors.
-NO BATTERY METER! Unbelievable! The closest you get to a charge level is a light on the transducer that flashes when below 10%. Only a matter of time before I'll be held up because I forget to babysit a battery (two if I buy that other unit). Guess I'll buy the dewalt USB power source
Other than these few gripes it seems to be a solid, accurate and well built tool.
One other thing... How in the hell did that ridiculous name make it all the way to the box?

I got my initial set replaced under warranty for constant connection problems. my new set doesn't have connection problems. works much better. but now I want to go the imanifold route. I only used this set 2 weeks if anybody is interested in buying it. will sell for a good price. it is the dual unit.

FYI NAPA has just come out with a power supply that you can put in a cup holder. It also has usb ports. I haven't checked the price. (YET)
I have a voltage inverter in the truck to keep all my batteries up.

I keep my single mantooth in with my amp clamp for quick trouble shooting. It came in handy a few times.

I prefer the 67003- the two singles in a case. Easy to use app and you can program target SH/SC.
