    I used to use thumb gum all the time but haven't seen it since I left Ohio 9 years ago. I've got a wad stuck to a shelf in my garage though, need to pull it out and stick it in my truck again.

    I've been using a quarter inch by 2 screw since my days as a helper...easiest and no worry about blowing the magnet out of it.

    A little Double Bubble works fine but I can't bear to waste good gum so I dab a little duct mastic on it and let it dry. Usually pops out whole with the shavings stuck in the mastic.
