    Yellow Jacket Precision Torque Wrench Kit

    Are the threads and flare to be oiled or dry when torquing.

    Generally speaking, torque specs are for clean dry fasteners unless otherwise specified. Oiling the threads will greatly increase the clamping force any any given torque.

    The back and front of the flair itself should be oiled to prevent binding of the pipe. For torquing, I wouldn't oil the threads.
