Looking for some lunch ideas I been packing the sandwich deal, I change it up once in a while chicken or egg salad just looking for some other good ideas

I've carried a small coleman stove and a cast iron skillet at times.. and I have a couple of those 12v food heater/coolers. There's always the dollar menu as well..

Whos got time to cook at work....... unless you are somewhere all day......

Get you an inverter and small crock pot...... or a toaster oven ........ lots of frozen foods you could buy...... little pizzas.... little snacks......

Eat straight from the can..... just throw it up on your dash in the summer to cook it.

I didnt even get to have lunch today I was so busy..... I used to keep saltine crackers on the truck for days like that.....

Beannie weinnies, vienna sausages, etc. ... Quick and easy, and ain't gotta be heated.

I keep ice cold water in a cooler.
Protein in a shaker bottle.
When I'm ready, add some water, and shake.
Cheap, fast, and keeps me out of the fast food(which I hate anyway).

Also keep a can or 2 of pineapple in the van as well.

I work on a college campus and the heat plant has a full kitchen. It's a rare day around here that we don't have time for lunch. It's usually leftovers from the night before nuked to perfection.

Usually a bag of trail mix, cashews or peanuts and some coconut water. That fast food will only make you more miserable.

Tomato sandwiches, bananas, and two gallon polycarbonate jug of water.

I've also made sushi, but it takes too long to prepare the day before.

The night before ,, dinner is perty good ,, sometimes save a little extra if it's good....

Today was beef rissoles for lunch ,,, only issue ,,they didn't even make it to smoko.

I dunno about you but cheap fast food screws me up something fierce.

I just about live in my truck, i have a few 12v cooking gadgets i managed to snag dirt cheap over the years. Sat, i had chicken tacos for lunch. Really easy, partially cook chicken breast however you like it, i stuff it in my 12v crock pot and stick it in the fridge. I plug it in when i hit the road in the am and by lunch time it falls apart with a fork, a little rice and flour tortillas and im happy.

basically add chicken breast and a small jar of your favorite salsa, juice of one lime and some cliantro and let it cook for 4 hours. works great for pulled pork, chili. I have a small walmart propane grill that i might bring with and stop at a grocery store for a burger/steak or something.

I did however try my first colombian burger this week since i was too lazy to bring anything with me. makes me remember how i miss out on trying new stuff when i'm out and about but man does dining out add up real quick

Do you think a 2.5qt Crockpot could run off an inverter with no problem? I imagine it only uses as much electricity as a 60W bulb. That thing could stew in the back of the truck from morning until noon.

There is always time for lunch. No one is going to die waiting a little longer for a/c. Besides, company policy is to take a one hour lunch. You can opt not to take a lunch, but your time is going to get knocked back an hour.

I have a lunch spot everywhere that I go ( I have a number of accounts around the state, its sort of like a route sometimes). Some are great places to eat, some are the only thing nearby. I dont like a cold soggy sandwich, and my truck is not a kitchen. Especially with the quantity of bugs around here. It costs a little extra, but im worth it.

I skip lunch. Who has time to eat? I work right through lunch and all breaks.

Eat a nice dinner - you'll be fine.

But drink a lot of water all day.
